When I started my journey to motherhood, I had no idea what lay ahead. Like so many women, I dreamt of becoming a mother, of holding my baby in my arms and watching them grow.

Is it my uterus lining? Is it my egg quality? Is it the sperm? Through six rounds of medicated IUIs and two rounds of IVF, I experienced the rollercoaster of emotions that accompanies fertility treatments.
Each failed attempt was a heartbreaking moment, yet it fueled my determination.
Test of Strength, Faith, and Resilience
As I navigated the rollercoaster of fertility treatments, I often found myself questioning my strength and faith.
Doubts crept in. I wondered if maybe I’m not supposed to be a mom?
The emotional toll of each failed attempt weighed heavily on my shoulders. I felt like I couldn’t do the one thing my body was ‘supposed’ to do.
But I refused to give up. I told myself I would keep trying until the doctors said I couldn’t and then I would find a doctor that said I could. I discovered inner strength I never knew I had. I kept visualizing myself pregnant and me with my child in my mind's eyes.
I would repeat my mantra daily - “My baby is coming in divine timing”. I learned that faith isn't just about hoping for a specific outcome; it's about trusting the journey, even when the path is uncertain.
The Journey to Single Motherhood
When I decided to embrace single motherhood by choice, it wasn't because it was the easiest path. It was because it felt like the right path for me.
I knew my life would be incomplete if I didn’t get to experience motherhood.
It was a leap of faith, a decision to take control of my destiny. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I was determined to build the family I'd always dreamed of.
Finding Gratitude
Throughout my journey, I learned the art of being grateful even in the hardest of times.

And once I finally learned to let go of control in my last round of IVF, I got pregnant.

Every day, I am grateful for my daughter, the light that guides my journey. She is the light of my life, and my purpose has transformed into a singular focus: her well-being.
